Machine Tool Characterization
Understanding how cutting tools will perform across a full range of spindle speeds allows for the identification of high performance material removal conditions. Equipped with the MetalMAX™ Modal Analysis System, TWS engineers are able to enter a machine shop and experimentally determine the dynamic response of any combination of existing cutting tools and machine tool systems.
The resulting data identifies regions of chatter-free, stable, high material removal conditions, and allows for future tool path analysis and, if applicable, integration with AdvantEdge Production Module for future optimization efforts.
