Third Wave Systems Announces New Offerings at IMTS 2004

New software applications and services from Third Wave Systems will provide increased productivity when machining titanium for aerospace applications. This new, detailed modeling technology improves material removal rate, part quality and tool life. The expanded, more robust AdvantEdge™ 4.5 machine modeling software will contain improvements and additions in the areas of drilling simulation capability (beta version), CAD tool geometry import (STL format), dramatic computational performance and Linux- capable
analysis engine. This software predicts residual stress and part distortion before expensive prototypes are made.

Third Wave’s Process Analysis Services helps reduce cycle times by allowing you to use high speed machining (HSM) techniques when machining titanium, ceramics, nickel alloys and other difficult-to-
machine aerospace alloys. We work with customers to reduce cycle times of the processes by 30% or more.
