Third Wave Systems is pleased to announce several new product and service offerings to be rolled out in conjunction with IMTS 2004 in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to the expansion of our AdvantEdge and AdvantEdge Production Module machining process modeling packages, new lines of process analysis service

The expanded, more robust AdvantEdge 4.5 machining modeling software will contain improvements and
additions in the following areas:
- Dramatic Computational Performance Improvements
- 3-D Grooving Simulation Capability
- 3-D Broaching Simulation Capability
- Ball Nose End Milling Simulation Capability
- Drilling Simulation Capability (Beta Version)
- CAD Tool Geometry Import (STL format)
- Linux Compatible Analysis Engine
Additions to AdvantEdge Production Module 4.2 process optimization software will include:
- Chatter Prediction
- Custom Database Integration
- 3-Axis Production Module
Third Wave will also be offering expanded Process Analysis Services. Using our proven modeling and simulation approach, aerospace and automotive machining processes can be evaluated, simulated, optimized, and implemented in order to dramatically reduce process costs.
Additionally, Third Wave will feature specialized lines of Process Analysis Services aimed at reducing cycle times by applying High Speed Machining (HSM) processes to the machining of titanium and other aerospace alloys. Using AdvantEdge technology and HSM expertise, Third Wave can work with you to reduce cycle times of these processes by 30% or more.
