In March of 2009, two collaborations between outside agencies and Third Wave Systems were finalized. The partnerships provide a springboard for TWS’ products, helping AdvantEdge Production Module become more well-known within the manufacturing community. Ultimately, these partnerships will enhance Production Module’s functionality and boost software sales.
 VIZION Technologies -- California-based VIZION Technologies specializes in turnkey CAD/CAM software installations including software, training, and support. Founded in 1998, VIZION is focused on providing CAM tools for design and manufacturing of complex free form shapes. Their mission is to automate the manufacturing process with software solutions. Knowing this, Third Wave Systems and VIZION will be combining forces.
VIZION Technologies now acts as a Production Module reseller to companies along the west coast, recognizing the software to be a valuable component in the manufacturing process. Third Wave Systems will train VIZION representatives on AdvantEdge Production Module’s capabilities and features; while the company will not hold primary technical support responsibility, a thorough understanding of the software’s potential will be critical to the sales process. These VIZION individuals will then approach current customers to educate them on Production Module’s optimization features, and introduce all new customers at the start of their discussions with VIZION’s services and software offerings.
 Manufacturing Laboratories -- Las Vegas-based Manufacturing Laboratories, Inc. (MLI) specializes in machine tool dynamics. Third Wave Systems recently purchased MLI’s best-known product, MetalMAX, for an expanded engineering services plan. Several TWS staff members are now trained to take MetalMAX into the field, testing machine tools to obtain valuable data for Production Module import.
Going forward, the new partnership between MLI and Third Wave Systems will elevate both companies’ products by boosting applicability across the manufacturing process. Before, companies would obtain machine tool test data from MetalMAX and then apply information independently of Production Module. Today, Production Module contains a MetalMAX import feature, which allows users to seamlessly transition between the two products. Marrying data compatibility with on-site tool machine testing, Third Wave Systems and MLI are offering customers a win-win scenario: great data, and a software package with which to apply it.
