Academic licenses are issued for the sole purpose of supporting teaching and research activities; they are not used for commercial purposes. Academic users typically buy the software, or establish a partnership with TWS based on an exchange of hard-to-obtain information not otherwise available to Third Wave Systems. This unique access to cutting-edge technology and research is a major draw for those in the academic field; as a result, there are currently more than 80 academic license holders across the globe, including:

  • Georgia Tech University
  • Fraunhofer Institute
  • Western Michigan University (a presenter at this year’s Users Conference)
  • Purdue University
