Mr. Kerry Marusich is the founder and President of Third Wave Systems. Prior to founding Third Wave Systems, Mr. Marusich worked for 10 years at Honeywell, Inc. and founded The Tetrad Group, a Minneapolis-based manufacturing productivity consulting company.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.  In 2008, Mr. Marusich was awarded the Defense Alliance of Minnesota’s first annual Architect of Defense Award. 

 

Troy Marusich, Ph.D., P.E.
Chief Technical OfficerTroy Marusich

Dr. Troy Marusich is the Chief Technical Officer of Third Wave Systems, specializing in applying computational techniques to manufacturing and R&D for improved product and process performance. He is known internationally for his work in the simulation of metalworking processes for improved design and process performance and part quality.  As the primary architect behind Third Wave Systems’ software, he is responsible for the development of many proprietary technologies that TWS now holds. Before joining Third Wave Systems in 1995, Dr. Marusich was a Design Engineer at John Deere. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering from Brown University in the department of Solids and Structures. Dr. Marusich has also authored numerous papers on machining and machining simulation and currently has two patents pending in relation to simulation technology and machining process development.

 

Lisa A. FerrisLisa A. Ferris
Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Ferris is Third Wave Systems' Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all aspects of operations, finance, and M&A.  Prior to joining the company, she was involved in building businesses for more than 20 years. Her most recent experience was at RBC Dain Rauscher, where she was EVP and Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for over 900 employees and an operating plan of $190 million. Ms. Ferris worked with investment bankers and internal M&A teams on both the buy and sell sides, resulting in acquisitions which increased business by more than 80%.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas.
