Board of Directors
In addition to the company's management team, Third Wave Systems has three Board members who collectively bring more than 100 years of senior management, marketing and technical experience in growing high-tech companies.
David Arnold
2007-Present
Mr. Arnold is the former Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Kennametal, Inc. in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. For 24 years, Mr. Arnold managed the activities of Kennametal's world-class Technology Center and directed all global research and technology functions (developing new products, materials and applications; improving existing products and applications; researching and developing product manufacturing procedures and techniques). He also directed all technological operations that support the corporation's product manufacturing and sales operations. Before joining Kennametal, Mr. Arnold worked in the materials and process technology laboratories at General Electric's Aircraft Engine Group in Evendale, Ohio; prior to that, he worked with Fansteel and DuPont, both in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Arnold championed the effort to establish the Department of Defense's National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining at Kennametal, and served as its inaugural Chairman of the Board. Mr. Arnold holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
Larry Matthews
1998-Present
Mr. Matthews brings more than 40 years of experience in technology companies to the TWS Board. As Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering of Zytec Corporation, a leading manufacturer of power supplies to the computer industry, he was instrumental in Zytec winning the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Mr. Matthews is currently a Director at Artesyn Technologies, a merger between Zytec and Computer Products Corporation. Prior to founding Zytec, Mr. Matthews spent 20 years at Control Data holding a variety of positions, from Design Engineer to Vice President of Operations. He has been a TWS advisor since 1993, and is a partner in North St. Paul Industrial Ventures, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Tom Glisczinski
1999-Present
Mr. Glisczinski brings more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing software sales and marketing. He founded Camax Manufacturing Technologies, a pioneering CAD/CAM provider, and was President of Manufacturing Data Systems. Mr. Glisczinski is currently president of Applied CIM Technologies, the largest midwest distributor of Surfcam CAD/CAM software, as well as several other software products. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
